Company

Generally speaking, maine coons are as affectionate as they are independent. They are well known for being confident and friendly with pets of all types, other cats, dogs, rabbits, chickens and even (as I've heard from one of my kitten families), pet snakes!

Maine coons are very sociable creatures and would be happy as the only pet in the house, provided they get enough human interaction and stimulation. In my personal experience, maine coons thoroughly enjoy the company of other furry friends, especially cat-friendly dogs. After all, maine coons are said to be the 'dog of the cat world' and dogs tend to have the comfiest beds!
